Au Pair's Message to Families

Hello my future family, I don’t know you yet, but I am sure you are kind and frank people. My name is Oksana, I am 24. I live in a little town Haisin in the centre if Ukraine. I live with my mom Galina, who is an example of kindness and confidence for me. She works in a kindergarten, so no wonder that I have chosen the profession of a teacher. My sister Tanya is married, she lives not far from us with her husband and son Vladislav. I adore my nephew, I consider him my little son too as I am also his godmother. I spend a lot of time with Vladik, I play with him, walk, cook for him, read tales and tell interesting stories. Yet being a schoolgirl I made first steps to teaching. At the age of 14 I found a key to kids’ soul when became a young leader for children of 6-7 y.o. My friend and I conducted contests, physical exercises, etc. After school I entered Pedagogical University and became a teacher by profession. I graduated 2 years ago and I have worked at school for 4 years now. I help kids learn the history of Ukrainian people and the whole mankind, I tell pupils about cultural heritage of Europeans. Each year in June our school organizes a health camp called “” where I work as an educator. Lately I have become a teacher in charge of the fifth class, so I became richer for 14 kids :-). I have a lot of friends because I am very sociable, I like to share thoughts, experiences… I lead a healthy and active life, love healthy home-made food and cook it :-). Recently I started to train myself to jogging in the morning. I adore singing, traveling, reading, hiking. My hobby is ethnography. I consider Au-pair program an opportunity to combine love for kids and European people’s history and way of life, it is a chance to travel and try to learn another foreign language, to broaden a circle of my friends. Also, as a bearer of Ukrainian culture, I will be able to familiarize you with our customs and traditions. I live in a little town, I’d rather say in countryside, so I am used to work and responsibilities about the house. I want to assure you that I am hard working and will try to do my best to keep your home clean and tidy, because I will consider your home mine for a year or even two.
